Vicky Kaushal gives a shoutout to Sharvari after ‘Alpha’ trailer release

'From Maskara to bikes, blades and guns... shine on Sharu': Vicky Kaushal gives a shoutout to Sharvari after 'Alpha' trailer release

The recently released trailer of ‘Alpha’ starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol has generated considerable excitement among movie lovers, with audiences praising its action-packed visuals and star-studded cast. Joining the growing list of admirers is Vicky Kaushal, who took a moment to applaud the film and extend his support to its team, particularly actor Sharvari. The actor shared the trailer on his Instagram Stories and penned a special note. Referring to Sharvari’s transformation in the action entertainer, Vicky wrote, “From maskara to bikes, blades and guns…shine on Sharu! Best wishes to team #Alpha.”

Sharvari and Alia Bhatt lead the spy adventure

Directed by Shiv Rawail, ‘Alpha’ marks a significant addition to the YRF Spy Universe. The film features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in central roles and is being positioned as the franchise’s first female-led story. The expansive spy universe already includes blockbuster titles such as ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘War 2’. With ‘Alpha’, the makers are looking to introduce a fresh chapter driven by two women at the forefront of the action.

What the trailer of ‘Alpha’ reveals

The makers unveiled the trailer with the caption, “Girls just want to have fun…with guns,” setting the tone for a high-energy espionage thriller. The promo introduces Bobby Deol’s character mentoring Alia Bhatt’s Sita for a secret mission. As the narrative unfolds, viewers witness Alia performing intense combat sequences and daring stunts. One of the trailer’s standout moments features her declaring, “Sita aaj Lanka khud jalane aaye hai,” while another scene references an “agni pariksha.”The action escalates with confrontations involving Sharvari and Alia, while Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor are also shown locking horns. The trailer received an additional boost when fans spotted a brief appearance by Hrithik Roshan, sparking discussions about Major Kabir’s role in the larger spy universe.

Buzz around Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt’s next collaboration

Interestingly, Vicky’s support for ‘Alpha’ comes as he prepares for another major project alongside Alia Bhatt. The duo will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious period drama ‘Love & War’, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor.According to News18 reports, the cast is expected to reunite on set for one of the film’s biggest sequences. The shoot is said to involve a lavishly mounted song designed on a grand scale and filmed across multiple days. Reports also claimed that it’s being designed as a spectacle. It was originally set to kick off on June 8 but is now starting on the 18th at Royal Palms.

Release plans for both films

While ‘Alpha’ is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 3, 2026, anticipation is equally high for ‘Love & War’. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial is now slated for a theatrical release on January 21, 2027.The film was initially expected to release earlier, but production delays led to a revised schedule. Ranbir Kapoor had previously confirmed that the project would arrive after the release of ‘Ramayana: Part One’, making it one of the most awaited films on the horizon. Go to Source
