Veteran singer S. Janaki’s son Murali Krishna passes away; the film fraternity is in shock

Legendary playback singer S. Janaki’s son, Murali Krishna, passed away unexpectedly on January 22 due to a heart attack. The film fraternity and fans are mourning the loss of Murali Krishna, who shared a passion for Tamil and Telugu films and was living with his mother. Many are extending their sympathies to the veteran singer during this difficult time.

S. Janaki, the legendary playback singer who lent her voice to thousands of songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, bid adieu to her son Murali Krishna on January 22, during the wee hours of this Thursday.According to Nakkheeran, he passed away due to a heart attack. The entire film industry and her fans are grieving the loss of Murali Krishna.

S. Janaki is from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. She was a playback singer in the early 50s. She later settled in Chennai, and that time was the period of her exceptional work. Her husband was Ram Prasad, and they had a son, Murali Krishna. His interest in art as a child may have stemmed from the fact that he had musically talented and gifted sons and also because Murali’s parents were not unsupportive of him.

Likewise, Murali Krishna seemed to share a passion for Tamil and Telugu films and performed Bharatanatyam. He hired a Chennai dancer called Uma to be his wife, and the couple had two daughters before getting divorced. After that, he saw both his daughters off and moved on. Before his death, he was living with his mother, S. Janaki.
