Her daughter, actress Tejaswini Pandit, confirmed the heartbreaking news and shared details about the funeral, which will take place on August 17 at Navi Peth Vaikunth Crematorium in Pune.

Tejaswini, mourning the loss of her mother, issued an emotional statement on social media. “It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved mother and everyone’s cherished senior actress, Mrs. Jyoti Chandekar Pandit, who lived life on her own terms and always greeted the world with a warm smile,” the note read. She further stated, “Her funeral will be held tomorrow, August 17th, at 11 a.m. With heavy hearts, Tejaswini Pandit, Pornima Pandit, and the entire Chandekar-Pandit family.” The message reflected not only the grief of a daughter but also the respect Jyoti Chandekar commanded in the industry and beyond.
