'Valavaara' OTT release: When and where to watch Sutan Gowda's coming-of-age drama

Mark your calendars for March 20, as ‘Valavaara’ graces Sun NXT with its digital premiere! This acclaimed Kannada film, skillfully directed by Sutan Gowda, offers an intimate glimpse into the emotional landscape of a rural family from Sakleshpur.

The recently released heartwarming Kannada film ‘Valavaara’ is gearing up for its digital debut after its theatrical release earlier this year. The film released in cinemas on January 30 and according to the latest updates, it will be available on Sun NXT from March 20.

Debut director brings rooted story to screen

The film is directed by debutant filmmaker Sutan Gowda and it features performances by child actors Master Vedik Kaushal and Master Shayan in key roles. The supporting cast includes Abhay, Malathesh H V, and Harshitha Gowda.Cinematography is handled by Balaraj Gowda, while music and background score are composed by Kadri Manikanth. Editing is done by Srikanth SH, and sound design is by V. J. Rajen.

Story explores family dynamics in rural setting

‘Valavaara’ is set in a quiet village near Sakleshpur. The film presents a world that appears calm but is shaped by hardship and it follows a family struggling with limited resources. Their life includes an unfinished home and unstable farmland.
