Vadh 2 OTT: When and where to watch crime drama

‘Vadh 2’ OTT update: When and where to watch Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta’s crime drama online

‘Vadh 2’ hits Netflix April 3 after strong theatrical run. Sanjay Mishra-Neena Gupta lead spiritual sequel to 2022’s Vadh. Set in MP prison, retiring guard investigates missing inmate amid corruption. Follows 8-week Bollywood window from Feb 6 release. Critics praise story, cast, gritty atmosphere.

After a hit theatrical stint earlier this year, the crime thriller ‘Vadh 2’ is finally hitting OTT. It drops on Netflix April 3, 2026, with Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta leading the cast.

‘Vadh 2’ digital rights and box office performance

According to OTT play, the streaming platform Netflix has formally bagged digital rights for ‘Vadh 2’, the spiritual follow-up to 2022’s blockbuster ‘Vadh’. Delivering a robust box office run, particularly in metros and among slow-burn suspense enthusiasts, the movie hit theaters on February 6, 2026. Sticking to Bollywood’s standard eight-week post-theatrical window, it’s now OTT-ready.

‘Vadh 2’ story and setting

Even though it’s based in a Madhya Pradesh jail, Vadh 2 stands alone as its own tale, not a direct sequel. The lead, Shambhunath Mishra (played by Sanjay Mishra), is a retiring low-level guard who supplements his income by unofficially selling small batches of prison-grown vegetables.Manju Singh (Neena Gupta), a prisoner, shares a kind and friendly bond with Shambhunath. She has spent 28 years in jail for a double murder she says she didn’t commit. Their calm routine is disturbed when Keshav (Akshay Dogra), a dangerous inmate with political links, suddenly goes missing. Officer Ateet Singh (Amitt K. Singh) starts the investigation, uncovering corruption and old grudges. The film is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and has been praised for its storytelling and strong characters.

‘Vadh 2’ cast and technical team

The cast of ‘Vadh 2’ features Sanjay Mishra as Shambhunath Mishra, Neena Gupta as Manju Singh, Kumud Mishra as Superintendent Prakash Singh, Amitt K. Singh as Inspector Ateet Singh, Shilpa Shukla as Rajni Sharma, and Yogita Bihani as Naina Kumari. Sapan Narula’s cinematography and Advait Nemlekar’s background score add to the film’s tense, gritty prison atmosphere. Go to Source
