‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ BO day 7: Film reaches Rs 86.47 Cr

'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' box office collections day 7: Pawan Kalyan and Raashii Khanna's film reaches Rs 86.47 Cr worldwide

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ has garnered Rs 86.47 crore worldwide in its first week, despite mixed reviews and a challenging release window. While the weekend saw moderate collections, weekday figures experienced a sharp decline. Director Harish Shankar acknowledged the film’s performance, attributing it to release strategy and competition, emphasizing effort over outcome.

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh continues its theatrical run with steady numbers despite mixed responses. The action entertainer has now collected Rs 64.60 crore in India net and it’s India gross stands at Rs 76.05 crore. Overseas, the film has earned Rs 10.42 crore as reported by the Sacnilk website. With this, the total worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 86.47 crore in seven days.

Weekend performance

The action film saw moderate growth over its first weekend. On Day 3, which was the first Saturday, it collected Rs 9.10 crore. The following day, Day 4 (Sunday), brought in Rs 7.50 crore.Despite decent occupancy levels during the weekend, the film did not show a strong upward trend. This resulted in a below-par first weekend when compared to expectations.

Weekday drop raises concerns

‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ witnessed a sharp decline during weekdays. On Day 5 (Monday), the film earned Rs 2.50 crore. Day 6 (Tuesday) saw a further drop to Rs 1.75 crore.

Harish Shankar reacts to collections

Harish Shankar addressed the film’s performance during an interactive session. He attended the event along with lead actress Sreeleela.Responding to a fan, he said as quoted by 123 Telugu, “Among Gabbar Singh and Ustaad Bhagat Singh, my favorite is the latter because I can see a more mature writer in myself. Every filmmaker wants a solo release for their film, but due to the decision of my exhibitors and producers, we had to prepone the release. It was a big risk clashing with a monster like Dhurandhar 2.”He further added, “As said in the Bhagavad Gita, only effort is in our hands, not the result. I feel happy about the appreciation for the film. Ustaad Bhagat Singh might not have broken previous records and may have earned less revenue than other films. Not every movie can break records, and not every Friday can be ours. Content is only in our hands, but collections depend on factors like the release window, ticket hikes, and competition from other films.”

Clash impact and road ahead

The film faced strong competition from Dhurandhar 2, which impacted its box office potential.Occupancy also reduced significantly during these days and the coming weekend will now play a crucial role in determining whether the film can recover or continue its downward trend.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from diverse public and industry sources.
