Unni Mukundan voices He-Man in 'Masters Of The Universe' Malayalam; 'Marco' star calls it, 'Power of manifestation'

Unni Mukundan is all set to lend his voice to one of the most iconic superheroes of popular culture. The actor has officially joined the Malayalam version of the upcoming live-action fantasy film ‘Masters of the Universe’, where he will voice the legendary character He-Man.The announcement was made along with the release of the Malayalam trailer for the much-awaited fantasy entertainer, which is scheduled to hit theatres on June 5.

Unni Mukundan shares exciting update

Unni Mukundan took to Instagram to announce the news and shared the Malayalam poster of ‘Masters of the Universe’. In another video, the actor was also seen taking out his old He-Man toy from his personal comic and toy collection.Sharing the poster and video, Unni wrote, “As a 90’s kid, He-Man was never just a character to me… he was strength, courage and heroism itself. Today, life has come full circle as I become the Malayalam voice of the very hero I worshipped growing up.”He further added, “Standing inside the dubbing studio and saying… “എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലുള്ള ആ ശക്തി കൂടി വാ.” “By the Power of Grayskull… I Have The Power!” …was deeply emotional and surreal. For a moment, I wasn’t an actor anymore… I was that little boy again, lost in the magic of He-Man. Dreams truly do come true.”

Unni Mukundan calls the film ‘Kickass’

After the Malayalam trailer received positive attention online, Unni Mukundan once again thanked fans for their support. The actor also shared a video from the dubbing studio and wrote,”Thank you for the overwhelming response, for the love and support each one of you have given for the Malayalam Trailer of He-Man ! To all the He-Man and Masters of the Universe die-hard fans, watch the movie in Malayalam on June 5th ! Take my word, it’s kickass Cringer is cute P.S: Power Of Manifestation .”

‘Masters Of The Universe’ heads to big screens

‘Masters of the Universe’, internationally titled ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’, is one of the most anticipated fantasy releases of the year.The film is directed by Travis Knight and is based on Mattel’s globally popular Masters of the Universe franchise.This marks the second live-action adaptation of the franchise after the 1987 film adaptation. The film features Nicholas Galitzine in the lead role as Prince Adam, also known as He-Man.The cast also includes Camila Mendes, Jared Leto, Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Kristen Wiig, Morena Baccarin and Idris Elba in important roles.
