Twinkle Khanna says physical infidelity isn’t a deal breaker

'Raat gayi baat gayi': Twinkle Khanna says physical infidelity isn't a deal breaker as she debates with Janhvi Kapoor

Twinkle Khanna and Kajol debated infidelity on a talk show, with Janhvi Kapoor deeming physical cheating a deal-breaker. The seasoned actresses, however, suggested emotional infidelity was more damaging, with Twinkle humorously noting younger generations haven’t experienced enough to understand. Kajol also shared her marriage secret: “partial deafness and selective amnesia.”

Twinkle Khanna and Kajol recently discussed infidelity with Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor on their talk show Two Much. While Janhvi saw physical infidelity as a deal breaker, the others felt it could be overlooked.

This or That segment: love vs compatibility

The show’s ‘This or That’ segment had guests share their opinions on prompts. The first question asked whether love or compatibility matters more in marriage. Twinkle and Janhvi said love is essential, while Kajol and Karan prioritized compatibility.

Kajol on love and compatibility

Kajol said that love cannot last without compatibility, adding, “Love is the first thing to fade after marriage if you aren’t compatible.” Karan agreed, noting that eventually, factors beyond love also become important.

Emotional vs physical infidelity

The next question asked whether emotional infidelity is worse than physical infidelity. Janhvi stood alone in thinking physical cheating was a deal breaker, while the others felt emotional betrayal was worse. Karan said, “Physical infidelity is not a deal breaker,” and Janhvi disagreed, “No, the deal is broken.” Twinkle added, “We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s, and she will get into this circle soon. She hasn’t seen what we have. Raat gayi baat gayi (What’s happened, has happened).”Twinkle has been married to Akshay Kumar since 2001, while Kajol has been married to Ajay Devgn since 1999. Before marrying Twinkle, Akshay was engaged to Raveena Tandon and also dated Shilpa Shetty, with whom he had a difficult breakup during the filming of Dhadkan.

Kajol reveals secret to a happy marriage

Kajol has often spoken openly about her marriage to Ajay Devgn. In a recent interview with Mashable India, she revealed that the secret to their long-lasting marriage is “partial deafness and selective amnesia.” She explained, “Ajay and I are completely different; otherwise, it wouldn’t have taken us so long, and we would have separated long before. The secret to a happy marriage is forgetting certain things about your partner and sometimes things they said that you didn’t hear. It’s very important.”
