Yash starrer 'Toxic' stays on track; Tara Sutaria dismisses postponement rumors; June 4 2026 release confirmed

‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ represents an ambitious gangster saga. Tara Sutaria’s clear stand on the date and her director’s praise highlight the collaborative spirit on set. As June 4 approaches, the project stays relevant with steady buzz and confirmed plans.

‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ appears steady ahead of its theatrical debut. Recent online rumors suggested another delay for the Yash-led period gangster action movie. However, actress Tara Sutaria has firmly dismissed those talks. In a chat with filmmaker Farah Khan on her vlog, she confirmed the release remains on June 4, 2026.

‘Toxic’ release rumors put to rest

Speculation about a further postponement had been circulating for weeks. Many wondered if ‘Toxic’ would shift dates once more. Tara Sutaria addressed this directly during her interaction and confirmed June 4 release of the actioner. The film was earlier moved to June 4 from a March slot due to external factors. Now, the focus shifts back to promotion and final preparations.

Tara Sutaria’s character introduction

On January 3 this year, makers unveiled the first-look poster for Tara Sutaria. Her role is Rebecca, and the caption read, “Introducing Tara Sutaria as REBECCA in – A Toxic Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups (sic).”Director Geethu Mohandas shared a note praising Tara, “I’ve always felt an instinctive love to protect Tara. Perhaps because she is a guarded soul or perhaps it’s the armour she’s comfortable with. And perhaps it doesn’t need to be defined. I realized early on that the best way to reach her was not by pushing, not by demanding more, but by allowing her the space to simply be. That choice shaped our equation which turned out calm , deeply professional, and perfectly aligned. She observed more than she spoke. She listened more than she revealed. And I often wondered if I should guide her more closely. But in her silence, something powerful was brewing. When she finally stepped into her performance, what emerged was nothing short of breathtaking which is born from an inner understanding she carried all along. She surprised me completely, and in the most beautiful way. I have no doubt she will surprise everyone else too.”Tara Sutaria responded warmly. She wrote, “Geetu my dearest…You are adored. Thank you for being the thoughtful and mindful captain you have been, and for leading this with great power and sensitivity! Your intuitive energy and guidance have been enormous in helping you shape Rebecca. I love you!”Geetu Mohandas co-wrote and directs the project. It is a period action thriller set across different eras.Yash leads the film in a powerful role. The cast includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key parts.
