Yash’s highly awaited film, ‘Toxic,’ has been pushed ahead four months due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. After the makers announced the new release date, fans shared their reactions on social media upon learning there won’t be a clash with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’.On Wednesday, March 4, Yash announced that ‘Toxic’ has decided to delay its release due to current uncertainties in the Middle East. With the film made for global attention, the makers feel the ongoing situation will impact their reach in the market. This made them consider postponing the film’s release globally to June 4, 2026.

Fans call It a ‘perfect decision’

A section of fans in the comments praised the decision to push the film, writing, “Perfect Decision By Monster Mind Yash. Big Respect,” another wrote, “(heartbreak emoji) But good decision..in this current war situation,” and another wrote, “Delay is fine… as long as the film comes out bigger, sharper, and worth the wait.” Additionally, many users shared their delight that his decision allows both ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Toxic’ to do good business. A user of X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “That’s A Good Decision. Both Will Get Solo Release and Both Will Cross 1000 cr Easily Now …. And That What we Want ….” Another netizen added, “Appreciate it. Both Dhurandhar and Toxic can earn good enough ..why ruin that being together. Good decision Yash” and “Sensible decision by Team Toxic. It will not affect both movies collections.”However, some fans also commented that the makers postponed it to avoid the box office clash with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’.

Announcing the new release date, the makers wrote, “’Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ is a film we conceptualized with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world. After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on 19th of March. However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience. Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release.”Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.
