Tom makes first appearance with Zendaya after accident

Tom Holland makes first appearance with fiancée Zendaya at charity gala; bounces back from 'Spider-Man' accident and hospitalisation

Tom Holland shook off his on-set injury and took over the stage at a charity gala over the weekend. According to reports, the actor, who is busy shooting for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, sustained an on-set injury while filming the upcoming Marvel superhero film. News reports on Monday claimed that the hunk was rushed to the hospital on Friday after a stunt went wrong, leading to an alleged head injury.

Ambulance called to ‘Spider-Man’ sets

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed Holland’s accident, telling The Sun, “We were called at 10.30am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford. An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to the hospital for further care.”

Stunt gone wrong

The actor, who was shooting his stunt scenes at Leavesden Studios in Watford, reportedly fell and hit his head, resulting in a concussion. Production was brought to a halt and the actor was reportedly taken to the hospital, along with his stuntman for further treatment. According to his dad, Dominic Holland, Tom will be away from filming ‘for a while’. Despite the setback in the production schedule, Holland appeared in good spirits for a charity event in London’s Mayfair. Joined by his fiancée Zendaya, the actor was seen posing with guests, fans and even taking over the stage to play quizmaster for The Brothers Trust’s quiz night, held at Christie’s auction house. Dressed in a black-tie suit, Holland posed with his siblings Sam, Harry, and Paddy, and also introduced Zendaya as his fiancée to fellow guests at the do. For the event, the actress stunned in a mini-black dress. The Brothers Trust, founded by the Holland family, raises funds through fan-driven events and supports various charities across the UK.
