Tinnu Anand opens up about paparazzi culture

'Yeh toh abhi business hogaya hai': Tinnu Anand opens up about paparazzi culture, says actors call photographers for self-promotion

Veteran actor Tinnu Anand shared his views on Bollywood’s paparazzi culture. He revealed actors often call photographers for self-promotion. Anand also disclosed he was initially offered the role of Crime Master Gogo in Andaz Apna Apna. Shakti Kapoor later played the iconic character. Anand mentioned his inspiration for the role came from a confident young girl he observed.

Veteran actor Tinnu Anand recenlty spoke about the ongoing paparazzi culture in Bollywood. He also admitted that actors do call photographers at airport and others places for self-promotions.

On paparazzi culture

Talking to Bollywood Bubble, he said, “That’s another way of promoting yourself. Yeh toh abhi business ho gaya. Abhi managers hote hain actors ke poora tam-jham jaante hain hum. Toh usko phone kar denge ki 9:00 baje ki flight hai inki, 8:30 baje pahunch rahe hain airport pe. Airport pe pahunch jaayenge aap, paparazzi tasveeren le lenge. Toh ye unko kaise maloom ki ye aaj aa raha hai, itne baje aane wala hai? They (Actors) call them first — paparazzi culture hai ye.”

Missed chance to play Crime Master Gogo

In the same interview, the veteran star also revealed that he was supposed to play the iconic role of Crime Master Gogo in Andaz Apna Apna. The role was later played by Shakti Kapoor. “Crime Master Gogo ka character bhi mera hi tha. Log nahi jaante, kyunki Raj aur meri bahut dosti ho gayi thi. Damini ki hai humne, Ghatak ki hai. Ab Crime Master Gogo ka sawaal aaya ji, toh Raj ji ne mere ko kaha, ‘Tinnu, ek role hai. Kuch clear cut nahi aa raha hai, lekin uska naam Crime Master Gogo hai.’ Maine kaha, ‘Raj, mere upar wale maale pe ek Sardar ki family rehti hai,’ he shared.

Inspired by real-life observation

He added, “Unki ek beti hai, bachchi hai, lekin itni confident ladki hai yaar. Ghanti maaregi, mere sofa pe aake baith jaayegi. Paon ke upar paon rakh degi. Maid ko bulaayegi—‘Ek Coke la dena.’ Piye gi, rakh degi. Main wahin khada hota hoon. Kabhi thank you bolke chali jaati hai, kabhi bina thank you bole hi nikal jaati hai.’ Yeh roz hota tha.”On the work front, Tinnu Anand was recently seen in Good Bad Ugly, Crazxy and Dil Dosti Aur Dogs.
