‘The Raja Saab’ BO day 5: Prabhas film slows down further

'The Raja Saab' box office collections day 5: Prabhas film slows down further; Mints just Rs 4.85 crore

Prabhas’s ‘Raja Saab’ is facing a significant box office downturn, with collections plummeting after its initial days. Day 5 saw a meager Rs 4.85 crore, bringing the total to Rs 119.45 crore. Low occupancy across languages and overwhelmingly negative audience reviews citing poor storytelling and performances are contributing to the film’s struggle, despite its star-studded cast.

‘The Raja Saab’ is not doing well at the box office as expected. On Day 5 the film collected only Rs 4.85 crore India net across all languages. These are early estimates provided by the Sacnilk website. The total India net collection of the film has reached around Rs 119.45 crore. The film had already shown weak signs in the first four days. Till Day 4 it earned around Rs 114.60 crore. Compared to Sunday the drop has been very sharp. The fall continued on Monday and did not stop on Tuesday. On Day 3 the film collected Rs 19.1 crore. Telugu contributed Rs 14.2 crore, Hindi Rs 4.65 crore, Tamil Rs 15 lakhs, Kannada Rs 7 lakhs and Malayalam Rs 3 lakhs. On Day 4 the collection fell badly to Rs 6.6 crore. Afternoon shows were at 22.32%. Evening shows stayed almost the same at 22.39%. Night shows were slightly better at 25.20%.In Hindi the overall occupancy was even lower at 12.55%. Morning shows were at 7.13%. Afternoon shows stood at 11.25%. Evening shows saw 12.08%, while night shows touched 19.72%.Tamil occupancy was also weak. The overall number was 12.12%. Morning shows recorded 13.78%. Afternoon shows were at 14.33%. Evening shows dropped to 9.53%. Night shows reached only 10.83%.

Mixed reviews add to the trouble

‘The Raja Saab’ is getting mixed reviews online, and many are very negative. One viewer wrote, “What an absolute mess that was, man, did they forgot the basics of story writing and filmmaking?” The same review also said, “Prabhas, I must say, looked so fake and artificial, except in or two, he was never in his elements and add to that the horrible face swap, my goodness, Zarina Wahab was superb, Sanjay Dutt as usual, loud but impact-less.”Another comment said, “RAJASAAB directed by Maruti staring Prabhas is became a blunder the first half is very strechy and unnecessary scenes the romantic angle is very forced and characters acting are very midcore.”

Cast, director, and what lies ahead

The film is directed by Maruthi and stars Prabhas in the lead role. Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Boman Irani, and Riddhi Kumar play key roles. Despite a big cast and high expectations, the film is failing to connect with the audience.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
