‘The Night Agent’ ending with season 4, creator promises finale

‘The Night Agent’ to end with season 4; Shawn Ryan promises a thrilling final chapter

‘The Night Agent’ has been cancelled after four seasons. Despite its massive success, the show will come to an end with its upcoming fourth and final season. Production on the new season has officially begun in Los Angeles, with series creator, executive producer, and showrunner Shawn Ryan promising fans a “proper and thrilling conclusion.”

What Shawn Ryan has said about ‘The Night Agent’ Season 4

According to Netflix, Ryan was vocal about his intentions for the final season, making clear that wrapping up the story on his own terms was something he had been working towards for some time. “Ever since the initial success of ‘The Night Agent’, I’ve been obsessed with eventually delivering a proper and thrilling conclusion to the show and to Peter Sutherland’s journey,” he said in a statement.”We are hard at work to complete our story and to make our final season one our fans will never forget,” he added, expressing gratitude for being given the space to deliver a definitive ending for the show’s worldwide fanbase.

What ‘The Night Agent’ is about

The hit series stars Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who finds himself in the midst of a massive conspiracy that leads all the way to the Oval Office. The series recently returned with its third season, which saw Peter hunt down a young Treasury Agent who fled to Istanbul with sensitive government intel, uncovering a dark money network that puts him in the path of a relentless journalist.Details regarding Season 4 are still being kept under wraps, but it will likely be another globetrotting adventure as Peter grapples with the ever-increasing stakes of his line of work. In a separate interview with Netflix’s Tudum, Ryan spoke about what makes Peter such a compelling character. “He’s definitely flawed. He doesn’t always make the right decision,” he said.”Peter desperately wants to do the right thing, wants the best for the most people, but the line of work he’s in demands that you don’t always get to choose between right and wrong; sometimes you have to choose between wrong and bigger wrong.”With production now underway, ‘The Night Agent’ Season 4 is shaping up to be a fitting farewell to one of the most-watched action series in recent years.
