'The Girlfriend' box office collections day 2: Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic drama picks up momentum; earns Rs 2.50 crore

Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic film ‘The Girlfriend’ has struck a chord at the box office, enjoying a fantastic boost in collections on its second day, almost twice as much as its initial earnings. Saturday’s figures reached around Rs 2.50 crore, pushing the cumulative total to about Rs 3.80 crore.

Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic drama ‘The Girlfriend’ has seen a noticeable jump in collections on its second day. After a decent start on Friday, the film picked up well on Saturday.According to early estimates from the Sacnilk website, ‘The Girlfriend’ earned around Rs 2.50 crore India net on Day 2 across all languages. This shows a major rise from its Rs 1.3 crore opening day. With this, the film’s two-day total now stands at approximately Rs 3.80 crore.

Strong performance in Telugu states – Occupancy rates

The film’s Telugu version had an overall occupancy of 30.79% on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The film had 17.32% in morning shows, rising to 38.55% by night shows.

Storyline and cast

The film is directed by Rahul Ravindran. ‘The Girlfriend’ stars Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty in lead roles, alongside Anu Emmanuel, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini. The film follows Bhooma (Rashmika), an MA student who falls in love with Vikram (Dheekshith)/ Although it seems like an ordinary relationship, it transforms into a deep exploration of love. The movie is getting decent reviews from the audiences.
