‘The Terror Season 1’

‘The Terror’ is a historical horror drama. Season 1 dramatizes the real-fictionalized 1845 Franklin Expedition. In the show, British ships HMS Erebus and Terror get trapped in Arctic ice, leading to starvation, mutiny, madness, and being stalked by a supernatural monster, the Tuunbaq, blending historical survival horror with folklore. ‘The Terror Season 1’ on Hulu features 10 episodes and stars Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies, Paul Ready, Ciarán Hinds, and Adam Nagaitis.

‘Castle Rock Seasons 1 & 2’

This 2020 horror drama is set in Stephen King’s iconic town, weaving together characters and themes from his books across two seasons. Season 1 centers on lawyer Henry Deaver returning home after a mysterious caged man emerges from Shawshank Prison, whispering Henry’s name, while Season 2 follows Annie Wilkes (from Misery) fleeing with her daughter and getting entangled in a feud and ancient supernatural forces in Jerusalem’s Lot. ‘Freakish’

‘Freakish’ is a 2016 teen horror series that expands across two seasons. The plot follows students serving Saturday detention at Kent High School who are trapped after a chemical plant explosion, forcing them to survive inside the school as toxic fumes turn people into cannibalistic, zombie-like mutants called “freaks” outside, blending teen drama with post-apocalyptic survival. In season 2, the story expands to reveal the chemical plant’s sinister human experimentation and government involvement.

‘Alone’

This is a 2020 thriller film. The plot follows widow Jessica, who, while on a solo road trip to cope with her husband’s suicide, is kidnapped by a mysterious man. Jessica, who is held captive in a remote cabin, manages to escape into the rugged wilderness. Now she must fight to survive a relentless pursuit from her captor.
