'The Bear' Season 5 gets a release date as hit culinary drama prepares to end with the final chapter

One of television’s most celebrated shows is coming to an end. Season 5 of ‘The Bear’ will be its last, with the final installment set to premiere on June 25. The culinary dramedy, which first debuted in 2022 and quickly grew into one of the most talked-about shows on television, will wrap up its run with all eight episodes available to binge at once starting at 6 p.m. PT.FX has announced that the final season will premiere on June 25, keeping with the show’s tradition of dropping all episodes simultaneously. The announcement comes just a day after the surprise release of ‘Gary’, a special standalone flashback episode starring Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal, which follows Richie and Mikey on a work trip to Gary, Indiana.

What happens in ‘The Bear’ Season 5

The final season picks up the morning after Sydney, Richie, and Natalie discover that Carmy has quit the food industry and left the restaurant in their hands. Per the official logline, with no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm standing in their way, the new partners must band together with the rest of the team for one last service, all while hoping to finally earn a Michelin star.The season promises to bring the show’s central themes full circle. “Ultimately, they learn that what makes a restaurant ‘perfect’ might not be the food, but the people,” the logline reads.
