Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Thamma’ has become a sensation, raking in over ₹120 crore and claiming the 9th position among the highest-grossing films of 2025. It’s a remarkable feat that has outstripped multiple blockbusters featuring Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. With robust weekend earnings, ‘Thamma’ continues to enthrall audiences across the country, making it a must-watch.

Ayushmann Khurrana led Thamma, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been slowly but steadily rising the charts of the biggest hits of 2025. The film in its opening extended week of 10 days minted Rs 108.4 crore and with that it began knocking on the doors of Top 10 Hindi hits of 2025. And now the first weekend numbers pouring in the film has made a place for itself on the 9th spot beating two Akshay Kumar films Jolly LLB 3 and Sky Force. On second Friday the film minted Rs 3 crore with Saturday collections showing a jump of over 46 % to collect Rs 4.4 crore. The collections though dropped on Sunday as it earned Rs 4.25 crore, thereby taking the weekend total to Rs 11.65 crore and the overall collection of the film stood at Rs 120.05 crore And with that the film went beyond the lifetime collection of Salman Khan’s Sikandar – Rs 110 .36 crore, Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force- Rs 113.62 crore and Akshay Kumar- Arshad Warsi’s Jolly LLB 3 – Rs 117.19 crore to take the 9th position . The 8 films ahead of Thamma are Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 (Rs- 177 crore) , Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 ( Rs 172 crore) , Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 ( Rs 183 crore). Aamir Khan’s Sitaazre Zameen par ( Rs 166 crore) , Ashwin Kumar’s Mahavatar Narsimha ( Rs 188 crore) , Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 ( Rs 216.36 crore) , Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara ( Rs 329 crore) and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava ( Rs 585 crore) . Ayushmann’s next release is going to be Pati Pati Aur Woh 2, directed by Mudassar Aziz and stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi. The film is slated to release on Holi next year. He has already started shooting for his next film which is with Sooraj Barjatya, Sharvari is paired opposite him.
