Teyana Taylor says she’s in ‘mommy mode’ at home

Teyana Taylor says she’s in ‘mommy mode’ at home, and motherhood makes her feel like 'Hannah Montana’

Teyana Taylor, celebrated for her Golden Globe achievements, draws parallels between her parenting journey and that of Hannah Montana. Juggling the dual roles of a star and a nurturing mom, she proudly watches her daughters, Junie and Rue, gracefully handle the limelight, adeptly separating their public persona from the cherished moments of family life.

Teyana Taylor may not have won a Grammy this time, but she’s definitely winning in life. The Golden Globe winner is now providing an honest and endearing look at how she strikes that balance in her life as a mother.

Teyana Taylor feels like being a mother is like being Hannah Montana

In an interview with PEOPLE at the TIME Women of the Year Gala, Taylor discussed raising 5-year-old Rue Rose Shumpert and 10-year-old Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr, whom she shares with her ex-husband Iman Shumpert. “I think because when I am home and when we are together, I’m in such mommy mode that it’s almost like Hannah Montana,” Taylor remarked, alluding to the Disney series of the same name starring Miley Cyrus.

Taylor Teyana feels she lives two different lives

The ‘One Battle After Another’ actress makes a clear distinction between her life as a mother and her life as a celebrity, much like Hannah Montana lived a secret double life as regular schoolgirl Miley Stewart by day and pop superstar by night. “They understand it,” Taylor remarked about her children. “I live two different lives where it’s like, ‘OK, here’s carpet, mommy. But then here is mommy, when she’s home, we’re going to the trampoline park, we’re cooking, we’re playing, we’re drawing. ’ So, they understand balance.”

Teyana Taylor’s life with her girls

Taylor finds that her girls’ graceful and grounded acceptance of the world of celebrity is more encouraging than her own experience during awards season. She also mentioned her daughter Junie, calling her a “leader” and a “little celebrity.” “She doesn’t walk in saying, ‘My mum needs this,’ or ‘I’m this.’ I love that balance,” Taylor said. “However, Junie and Rue are seen posing and serving on a red carpet. So, I just think it’s amazing to see how they navigate balance. It’s really inspiring. As a parent, it simply makes me proud,” she added. The girls have already showcased that they thrive in the limelight. Alongside her mother, 5-year-old Rue Rose stole the show at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards. She posed for photos and even fixed the train on Taylor’s gown. Go to Source
