'Mirai' OTT release: Teja Sajja's adventure thriller seals big OTT deal ahead of release - Report

Teja Sajja will be next seen in the upcoming action-adventure starrer ‘Mirai’. Ahead of the film’s release next month, the makers have locked the digital rights of the film. Find out more about the film.

Digital and satellite rights locked

As per a report by 123Telugu, the digital rights of ‘Mirai’ have been acquired for a massive price, making it one of the most lucrative OTT deals for a Telugu film this year. The report also suggests that the satellite rights have been secured by Star Maa.

Trailer and release date update

The makers recently announced that the film’s official trailer will be unveiled on August 28. Originally slated for a September 5 release, ‘Mirai’ has now been postponed by a week to September 12.

About the film

Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, ‘Mirai’ centers around a reluctant hero who is destined to use a divine weapon, a mighty staff that awakens by itself only at the mercy of destiny. The story is expected to be a combination of ancient folklore and modern-day superhero film.The makers also shared a new poster that teases an intense clash between Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj. While Teja’s hero is depicted brandishing a divine staff crackling with lightning energy, Manoj’s formidable villain stands opposite him, gripping a dark sword radiating with ominous power. The movie also includes Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Ritika Nayak, and Jayaram in principal roles.’Mirai’ is being made on a large scale with a pan-Indian vision. The film will be released in eight languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, among others. It will be available in both 2D and 3D formats.The Hindi version of the film has been announced to be presented by Karan Johar’s banner. Teja Sajja was last seen in the mythological superhero film, ‘HanuMan’, released during the Sankranti 2024 window, which was a blockbuster.
