Tamannaah says actors don’t earn consistently, so it’s important to save money

Tamannaah Bhatia says if actors don't find ways to invest and multiply their money, they may be left with nothing: 'If you don’t save it at the right time..'

Tamannaah Bhatia stepped into the film industry at just 15 and has since built a career spanning over two decades. Now, 21 years later, the actor has not only established herself on screen but has also ventured into entrepreneurship with her jewellery brand. In a recent interview, she opened up about financial planning, the unpredictability of showbiz, and why smart investments are crucial, even for successful actors.Tamannaah revealed that during the early phase of her career, her father played a key role in managing her earnings. “My father took care of my finances then. He still supports and guides me but at that tender age, when I needed it the most, I had my parents looking into my finances,” she shared in a chat with CNBC TV 18. When asked about how she manages her money today, Tamannaah explained that she has consciously built a diversified investment strategy. “I have a really good balance between real estate, jewellery and a lot of other investments that makes it a very balanced portfolio. I have to thank my father for having that foresight and helping me constantly invest in (different) ways,” she said.Reflecting on the volatile nature of the entertainment industry, Tamannaah pointed out that high earnings do not always guarantee long-term financial security. “Because for actors especially, it happens a lot that you might be able to consistently make a lot of money but if you don’t save it at the right time or if you don’t find ways of multiplying it, then you finally realise that not much of it is left. So yeah, I think it’s a very balanced portfolio,” she added.
