According to the reports, preliminary inquiry suggests Vicky was not receiving the kind of film assignments he had been expecting. This prompted concerns about financial distress and mental health. Reportedly, the officers broke into Bosepukur apartment after the neighbours complained of a foul smell.According to investigators, prolonged lack of work and mounting stress could be the reason for his suicide. Reportedly, a police officer confirmed, “We have been told he may not have been getting the kind of projects he had been expecting in recent times… we are probing that angle as well. We have been told he was suffering from depression.”Soumyadeep Guin had worked extensively in the Tollywood film industry. He has earned a good name by collaborating with prominent names like Raja Chanda and cinematographer-director Premendu Bikash Chaki. He is survived by his wife and a young daughter.
