Suriya to play a police officer; Casting rumours

As per OTT Play reports, Suriya is set to portray a police officer in this film, which is being promoted as a full-on entertainer with strong mass appeal. Actors Naslen and Nazriya Nazim are reportedly in talks to join the film, though an official confirmation is still awaited.A handful of talented Malayalam actors and exceptional technicians are also expected to be part of the team, just like in Jithu Madhavan’s previous films ‘Romancham’ and ‘Aavesham’. Interestingly, the excitement around Jithu Madhavan’s upcoming work doesn’t end with Suriya. Earlier in 2024, in a conversation with Baradwaj Rangan, Mohanlal revealed that he has also committed to a film with the ‘Aavesham’ director. The superstar shared that he regularly listens to stories from new filmmakers and he also recalled his long-standing collaborations with acclaimed director Blessy. Mohanlal revealed this in response to several criticisms that he shies away from collaborating with new and talented directors.Meanwhile, Suriya is gearing up for his upcoming action entertainer ‘Karuppu’, directed by RJ Balaji, expected to release before Suriya 47 hits theatres.
