Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,’ has collected Rs 22 crore at the box office despite mixed reviews. After a second-day dip, the film saw a significant boost on its third day, earning Rs 7.25 crore. It maintains a steady performance amidst competition from ‘Kantara Chapter 1,’ surpassing other recent rom-coms.

Third day earnings boost total collections

According to trade tracking site Sacnilk, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari earned Rs 7.25 crore recently, bringing its total box office collection to Rs 22 crore.The film recorded an overall occupancy of 22.72 percent in Hindi on Saturday. Morning shows saw a 11.99 percent turnout, afternoon shows had 27.20 percent occupancy, and evening shows attracted 28.96 percent of the audience.

Day-wise box office trend

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari earned Rs 9.25 crore on its opening day. The film’s collection dropped on the second day, bringing in just Rs 5.5 crore—less than half of its Day 1 earnings. However, it picked up again on the third day.

Competing with Kantara Chapter 1

The film is holding its ground despite strong competition from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1, which has earned over Rs 155.19 crore. It has, however, surpassed the lifetime collections of Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh’s Mere Husband Ki Biwi (Rs 12.85 crore) and Loveyapa (Rs 8.85 crore).
