‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ box office collection day 14

'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' box office collection day 14: The Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor film slows down further after Rs 50 crore, 'Kantara: Chapter 1' also begins to see a drop

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ faced off at the box office against ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, but the clash was clearly one-sided — ‘Kantara’ has outperformed the latter by a massive margin. The Kannada blockbuster also enjoyed a much wider release, hitting theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, unlike ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, which had a more limited rollout.‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ opened decently with ₹9.25 crore on day one but witnessed a steep drop to ₹5.5 crore on Friday. The film managed a brief rebound over the weekend, earning ₹7.5 crore each on Saturday and Sunday. However, the weekday trend was disappointing, with collections slipping into the ₹2–3 crore range. Benefiting slightly from discounted tickets, the film collected ₹3.25 crore on Tuesday, ₹2.25 crore on Wednesday, and ₹2 crore on Thursday, closing its first week at ₹41.1 crore. In its second weekend, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ showed only a mild uptick — ₹2.25 crore on Friday, ₹3.25 crore on Saturday (day 10), and around ₹3 crore on Sunday (day 11). Monday (day 12) saw the usual post-weekend drop with ₹1.15 crore, followed by ₹1.40 crore on Tuesday and ₹1 crore on Thursday (day 14). According to Sacnilk, the film’s total collection now stands at ₹54.10 crore. In sharp contrast, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ continues to dominate the box office, having already crossed the staggering ₹450 crore mark by its 12th day in theatres.
