‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ box office collection day 11

'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' box office collection day 11: The Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor film almost touches Rs 50 crore while 'Kantara' crosses Rs 420 crore

‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ starring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf released in cinemas on October 2 and saw a big clash with Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. The difference between the collections of both these movies was anticipated even before the release as ‘Kantara’ is mounted on a much higher scale and is now a known franchise. The earlier part which released in 2022 had also done exceptionally well at the box office but second installment which is actually a prequel story has done even better. There was also a difference in the number of languages that the films released in. Not to mention, ‘Kantara’ released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. Thus, there’s a huge difference between both the movie collections. ‘SSKTK’ opened at Rs 9.25 crore on day 1. The film saw a drop on day 2 which is Friday and made only Rs 5.5 crore. But there was growth as compared to that over the weekend. It made Rs 7.5 crore respectively on Saturday and Sunday each. It began seeing a drop from Monday onwards, gradually and started making in the Rs 2-3 crore range. On Tuesday, it made Rs 3.25 crore as it must have benefitted from the discounted ticket prices. On Wednesday, it collected Rs 2.25 crore and on Thursday, which is day 8, it garnered Rs 2 crore. Thus, the first week collection of the film was Rs 41.1 crore. On Friday, it collected Rs 2.25 crore and it saw some growth on Saturday which is day 10, making Rs 3.25 crore. On day 11, which is Sunday, the collection was around Rs 3 crore as per early estimates, according to Sacnilk. With this, it missed Rs 50 crore mark by a minute margin. The total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 49.60 crore. Meanwhile, the total collection of ‘Kantara’ in all languages at the domestic box office is Rs 437.65 crore. Now the Monday numbers will be crucial as it will decide how the film will hold in the coming week, till the Diwali release ‘Thamma’ hits the screens.
