‘Border 2’ is all set to release in theaters this week, and ahead of the same, the makers have cleared the certification process. The Central Board of Film Certification has granted a rating to the upcoming sequel of ‘Border (1997).’ Let’s learn more about it in detail.

According to the NDTV report, ‘Border 2’ has been granted a U/A 13+ rating by the Central Board. And the war drama has passed without a single cut, keeping intact what the filmmaker has envisioned for the audience.According to the certificate, the runtime of ‘Border 2’ is 3 hours 16 minutes, making it one of the longest war movie of Bollywood.

While the film is yet to arrive in theaters, the advance booking has showcased a good number. According to the Sacnilk report, ‘Border 2’ has earned Rs 2.68 crore through advance booking for day one, with 83,941 tickets sold across 8,469 shows.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the film features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in the lead roles. It also stars Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh in prominent roles.In the film, Sunny Deol is set to play the role of Lt. Col. Fateh Singh Kaler—an Indian Army officer from the 6 Sikh Regiment. Varun Dhawan will be seen as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, PVC—an Indian Army officer from The Grenadiers. Diljit Dosanjh will play Fg Offr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC — Indian Air Force officer from No. 18 Squadron, and Ahan Shetty will portray Lt Cdr M. S. Rawat — Indian Navy officer from INS Khukri.The movie is set in 1971 India – Pakistan war just like its previous installment.
