Sunita: ‘Mere jaisa Govinda ko koi nahi pyaar kar sakta’

Sunita Ahuja says 'Mere jaisa Govinda ko koi nahi pyaar kar sakta' amid divorce rumours: 'Purana Govinda, waapas aaja tu yaar'

Earlier today, reports once again claimed that Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja were heading for divorce. A portal alleged that Sunita had filed a petition in the Bandra Family Court on December 5, 2024, citing adultery, cruelty and desertion under section 13 (1) (i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955.It was further reported that the couple, who have been married for almost four decades, had attended court-mandated counselling since June. Sunita was said to be present, while Govinda allegedly missed some sessions. But only hours later, Sunita’s fresh interview suggested otherwise. Instead of confirming the buzz, she spoke with affection about her husband, making it clear that their bond remained strong.‘Mere jaisa koi Govinda ko nahi pyaar kar sakta’In a chat with Eat Travel Repeat, Sunita revealed how deeply she understands Govinda even after 38 years of marriage. She explained that she knows exactly when he feels hungry, when he craves a Coke, or when acidity troubles him. According to her, “Mere jitna Govinda ko koi nahi jaanega, aur kabhi zindagi mein nahi jaanega koi. (No one knows Govinda the way I do, and no one ever will).”She added that this comes from love, insisting, “Woh, mere jaisa Govinda ko koi nahi pyaar kar sakta hai, naa koi usko itna samajh sakta hai. (No one can ever love Govinda the way I do, nor understand him the way I can).”

Sunita Ahuja makes YouTube debut, Netizens call her ‘Farah Khan ki sasti copy’

Longing for the 90s Chi ChiWhen asked which version of Govinda she preferred, Sunita didn’t hesitate — she still misses the superstar of the 90s. Folding her hands in a playful appeal, she said, “Purana Govinda, waapas aaja Govinda tu yaar. Mera Chi Chi tu aaja waapas Chi Chi, aaja mere paas Chi Chi. (Old Govinda, please come back… my Chi Chi, come back to me).”During the chat, Sunita also flaunted her giant engagement rings, silently shutting down divorce rumors.Faith in Maa Kaali keeps her strongIn her first vlog, Sunita had also opened up about her faith. She recalled how she had prayed to Maa when she first met Govinda, asking for him to be her life partner. Maa, she said, had fulfilled all her wishes — a happy life and two children. While she admitted that ups and downs are part of every marriage, she stressed her devotion to Maa Kaali, adding, “Jo mera ghar todne ki koshish karega, usko toh woh baithi hai Maa Kaali. (Whoever tries to break my home will have to face Maa Kaali herself).”
