Sunita Ahuja on ending the rift with Krushna and Kashmera

Sunita Ahuja on ending the rift with Krushna and Kashmera, ‘How long can I be angry with my kids?’

Bollywood’s beloved star Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have been in the spotlight for decades — not just for their movies but also for their well-documented family dynamics. For years, fans followed the silence between the couple and Govinda’s nephew, Krushna Abhishek, and his wife, Kashmera Shah. After years of distance and speculation, Sunita’s recent heartfelt words have finally brought closure to one of Bollywood’s most emotional family chapters.

When the rift started

The reported rift began in 2016 during The Kapil Sharma Show, when Krushna cracked a joke that upset Govinda and Sunita. Things escalated further after an exchange of words between Sunita and Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah. However, in 2024, they finally shared a warm reunion on The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Letting go of grudges

Speaking about the years-long rift, Sunita chose kindness over conflict. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she said, “How long can I be angry with my kids?” she added with a warm smile, hinting that time had healed old wounds. “Why hold grudges when everyone is happy in their own space? I only want to give blessings to all the kids; they are like my own.” Her words reflected genuine affection and underscored the strength of family bonds.

When love first began

Sunita also shared how Krushna’s mother, Padma Sharma who was Govinda’s sister played a key role in her and Govinda’s journey. “Krushna’s mom was my most favourite, and she was the one who actually knew about mine and Govinda’s affair, as I was introduced to her first,” she recalled fondly. “She was my favourite, and today, for Govinda’s success and everything, she deserves all the credit.”
