Strictly Come Dancing' announces new hosts: Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has announced a fun bunch of hosts for their upcoming seasons, replacing the beloved Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. After the long-time presenters retired from the show last year, fans were curiously speculating about who would bring chemistry and stalwartness to handle the pressure. Turns out, there will be three hosts who will charge up with excitement, fitting the biggest shoes in the television industry.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ new hosts: Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe

TV presenter Emma Willis, comedian Josh Widdicombe, and professional dancer Johannes Radebe will be leading ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’ Claiming that she is one of the biggest fans of the show, Willis said, “To be stepping into the Strictly ballroom is something I can’t quite comprehend,” according to BBC. Meanwhile, Widdicombe is “giddy with excitement, honoured and a little overawed to be given the chance to step into the biggest shoes in television.” For Radebe, it is beyond his imagination to step into the ballroom as a host after being a professional dancer in the previous seven seasons. “This show has always stood for joy, heart, and togetherness, and I feel deeply honoured to now help carry that magic forward. I’m ready – sequins, nerves and all … please bear with me,” he said.

The ‘undeniable’ chemistry between the hosts

Meanwhile, Widdicombe also participated in the show for one of the Christmas Special episodes. “Dancing the Charleston dressed as a penguin for the 2024 Christmas Special of Strictly remains my career high point,” Widdicombe said, sharing his excitement.Kate Phillips, the Chief Content Officer of BBC, shared that she is relieved that she can share the news about three new hosts at last – claiming that their chemistry is ‘undeniable.’ The new season will begin in Autumn 2026 for the 24th season.
