Shah Rukh Khan 'full of gratitude'; pens heartfelt note to fans: 'Thank you for making my birthday special'

Before the day could come to a close, birthday boy Shah Rukh Khan extended a note of thanks to all his fans for all the love and good wishes. The Bollywood superstar who turned 60 today, took to his handle to share a video of himself trying to get an auditorium full of fans to share the fame with him as he smiled for a selfie-style video. Posting the clip, he shared a touching note of gratitude, thanking his loyal fans for their endless love and support.

“Thank you for making my birthday special as always,” Khan wrote and added, “Full of gratitude… ” The post was accompanied by a video clip of Shah Rukh walking on stage, beaming as he tried to get visuals of all his fans in a single frame.

SRK reschedules meeting with fans

SRK, who was scheduled to meet his fans gathered outside Mannat, cancelled the appearance last minute, alleging that the authorities asked him to scrap the event over security and crowd control issues. Keeping in mind the disappointed fans, Shah Rukh added in his note, “and those of you I couldn’t meet, I will see you soon. In the theatres and at the next birthday. Love u…”

About SRK’s birthday celebrations

The actor’s birthday festivities began at midnight, with an intimate bash at his Alibaug home. The party was attended by close friends and his family. Meanwhile, fans gathered outside his bandstand residence, with a hope of getting to see the actor make his annual appearance. However, owing to large crowds gathering outside the house, police restricted gatherings and dispursed the crowds, while even barring them from certain locations. With his birthday celebrations wrapped up, Khan is now looking forward to wrapping up work on the ambitious action film that will also feature Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and many other stars.
