While some critics perceived this as a display of arrogance, loyal fans rushed to his defense, pointing out that he was simply following event guidelines to allow official photographers to capture the moment.

Shah Rukh Khan recently attended the Joy Awards in Riyadh. Pictures and videos of the actor from the event went viral on the internet. And one of the clips showcased the superstar taking away his fan’s phone as he tried to click a selfie on stage at the award ceremony. However, the actor quickly took away his phone. The video showcased the superstar asking the person to pose for the professional photographers stationed at the venue. In the next moment, another individual tried to click a selfie with the superstar, and the actor again asked him not to do the same. Everyone then posed for the professional cameras together. The video quickly went viral on the internet. On Threads, the video was shared with a caption stating that some people called SRK’s gesture arrogance; others expressed that such moments are often misunderstood. Soon, Khan’s fans commented on the same post. One wrote, “He is clearly telling ki “saamne se photo lo “ so that the picture will be clearer.” One commented, “Are they stupid? He’s telling them someone else will take the picture, that way the prize can be seen too… They’re not smart enough to see something so obvious.” A person added, “We are so used to not following basic civic sense that now we criticise someone trying to follow that. when you are on stage for an award you don’t click personal selfies to ruin official photographs.”
