Soonyoung Praises Hwasa: Singer lauds her authenticity in interview

During an interview, Soonyoung from Girls’ Generation praised Hwasa, calling her ‘remarkable’ and a true role model for creators. She underlined Hwasa’s genuine approach to sharing her personal narrative, which Soonyoung believes is a scarce trait in modern music. In a recent interview, Girls’ Generation member Soonyoung surprised everyone by candidly mentioning ‘Good Goodbye’ singer Hwasa. She praised the fellow singer while also mentioning how there should be more artists like her.

Soonyoung praises Hwasa

Girls’ Generation member Soonyoung recently appeared for a candid interview with Yoo Yoon Seok on his online channel. She opened up about her long career as a singer and actress, as well as how things have been for her since her debut.During one of the segments of the show, while talking about fellow artists and who she would be on the lookout for, the first name that popped from the singer’s mouth was Hwasa. She also called her “just incredible” and praised the singer for her skills. “ The host also agreed that the MAMAMOO member is a talented and strong artist to reckon with in the industry. Soonyoung further added on about how artists like Hwasa remain authentic and original, which is something that the industry seems to be missing right now. She also added, “What I always say in meetings is, ‘At this point in time, shouldn’t we be telling the story that only we can tell?’ That’s always the core of it for me. Artists like Hwasa really feel like they’re telling their own story. Starting from that message, everything expands from there: the music video, the concept, and the performances. It all grows and flows together organically, to the point where it feels like you’ve watched a complete work of art.”
