Sonu Nigam sells five Karjat land parcels for Rs 95 lakh a month after Rs 1.95 crore deal: Report

Playback singer Sonu Nigam has sold five adjoining land parcels in Karjat for a combined consideration of Rs 95 lakh, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix. The latest sale comes nearly a month after the singer sold multiple land parcels in the same region for Rs 1.95 crore.The transactions pertain to five adjoining plots located in Savele village in Karjat, part of the emerging Mumbai 3.0 belt. Together, the land parcels span approximately 1.067 hectares, documents revealed.The transactions were registered on May 12, 2026, and attracted a total stamp duty payment of Rs 5.7 lakh.According to the documents, a 0.21-hectare parcel was purchased by a group of four individuals for Rs 20 lakh. Another adjoining land parcel measuring 0.215 hectare was acquired by two buyers for Rs 20 lakh.In another deal, an individual buyer purchased a 0.225-hectare plot for Rs 20 lakh. Meanwhile, a group of two individuals acquired a 0.20-hectare parcel for Rs 17 lakh.A separate 0.217-hectare land parcel was sold to another individual buyer for Rs 18 lakh, as per the registration records.Sonu Nigam and the respective buyers could not be reached for comment.

Earlier sale worth Rs 1.95 crore in April

In April this year, Sonu Nigam sold multiple land parcels totalling more than 1.9 hectares in Karjat, a hill station in Maharashtra’s Raigad district near Mumbai, for Rs 1.95 crore.The deals were executed through four separate transactions with different buyers. Documents showed that a 0.405-hectare parcel was sold for Rs 50 lakh, while another 0.718-hectare parcel fetched Rs 75 lakh.A third transaction involving 0.607 hectares was concluded for Rs 50 lakh, while a 0.208-hectare parcel was sold for Rs 20 lakh.All four transactions were registered on April 7, 2026, with a cumulative stamp duty payment of Rs 11.70 lakh.

Recent real estate deals by the Nigam family

The Nigam family has been in the spotlight for several property transactions in recent months. In February 2026, Agam Kumar Nigam purchased a 1,197 sq m land parcel along with a ground-plus-one-floor residential and commercial structure in Mumbai’s Madh Island for Rs 10 crore, according to documents accessed by Liases Foras.Back in 2025, Sonu Nigam had also leased a commercial property in Mumbai’s Santacruz East for a five-year period at a total rental value exceeding Rs 12.61 crore.
