Soha Ali Khan breaks silence on Saif and Amrita’s divorce

Soha Ali Khan opens up about Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s divorce; says, 'Family went through change and adjustment'

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s marriage, once one of Bollywood’s most talked-about relationships, ended in 2004 after 13 years together. The couple reportedly parted ways due to personality differences, lifestyle conflicts, and financial strains. Following their separation, Saif agreed to pay Amrita Rs 5 crore as alimony, along with Rs 1 lakh per month in child support until their son Ibrahim turned 18.While the divorce made headlines back then, Saif’s sister, Soha Ali Khan, has now reflected on that difficult phase, recalling how it impacted her personally and how she eventually found her own balance in the family dynamic.

‘It’s complicated, but you find your own equation’

Speaking to Nayandeep Rakshit, Soha shared, “See, these are things that you don’t have any control over. When a marriage ends, the families also go through some kind of change and adjustment. You may find your own independent equation after some time — there’s a process, but it’s complicated.”She added that she had always shared a warm relationship with Amrita. “For me, Amrita was someone who… I’ve lived in her house, she’s looked after me, she’s taken me for photo shoots, done so much — we’ve played Scrabble together. And then when that relationship ends, of course, you go through a moment of processing and transition,” Soha said.

Soha recalls how Saif introduced Kareena to her: ‘My girlfriend is two years younger than you’

‘There’s a sense of settlement now’

The actor-author further explained that it took time for everyone to settle into the new normal after Saif and Amrita’s separation. “You allow, firstly, them to find their equation, and then you have to find your own equation within that. So I think that is something that we went through. And now, I think there’s a settlement — the children are all grown up, and you can be yourself, in a way,” Soha concluded. Saif and Amrita share two children — actor Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Saif later married actress Kareena Kapoor in 2012, and they are parents to Taimur and Jeh. Go to Source
