Siddharth Anand slams Zakir on his Bandra-Juhu comment on Dhurandhar 2

'You have to be a duffer': 'Pathaan' director Siddharth Anand hits back at Zakir Khan on his Bandra-Juhu comment on Dhurandhar 2 success, netizens react

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is the talk of the town and now the discussion around the film is no longer limited to memes or its box office. Now it has taken a larger turn after stand-up comedian Zakir Khan roasted Bollywood and said that the industry was jealous of the film’s success. He also commented, “Film mein aag lagi Lyari mein aur yahan dhuaa udaa Bandra se Juhu mein.” This doesn’t seem to have gone down well with some people in the industry. Siddharth Anand who directed Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ and is now making ‘King’ with him has slammed Zakir. He took to X, formerly Twitter and said, “Juhu – Bandra peeps have given all ATBB’s since the past 50 years. You have to be a real duffer to undermine their contribution 😂”

I guess you miss the whole point.” Another one said, “This tweet proves Zakir’s joke, though.” Someone commented, “How hurt are you that you had to post this?” Many also came in Siddharth’s support. A person said, “Hahahaha!! 100% And these are the same Juhu – Bandra peeps who ran this industry for decades and gave employment to millions of people including these new duffers.” Another person said, “Hahaha good one…. waiting for #KING❣️”

For those not in the know, “Zakir said at Screen Awards 2026, “Kitne hi congratulatory post aap daal de, kitne hi story daalde, kitne hi interview mein aap bolde my favourite film, magar sach toh yeh hai ke ‘Dhurandhar’ se sabki jali toh hai (You may drop congratulatory messages and stories and say in interviews that it’s your favourite film but the truth is everyone got jealous of ‘Dhurandhar’) He further jokes, “Bomb film mein foote lyari mein par dhuan udaa hai Bandra se Juhu mein (There were Bomb blasts in Lyari in the film but there was smoke between Bandra and Juhu).”
