Shraddha’s brother Siddhanth summoned in the Rs 252 crore drugs case

After Orry, Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor summoned in the Rs 252 crore drugs case

The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Police has formally summoned actor-director Siddhanth Kapoor, brother of Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor, in connection with a sprawling narcotics investigation tied to suspected underworld links. He has been asked to appear on 25 November to record his statement.

Background of the case

As reported by PTI, the investigation centres on a seizure of mephedrone (MD) valued at around Rs 252 crore, traced to a manufacturing unit in Maharashtra’s Sangli district.During questioning, key accused Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh claimed that lavish drug-fuelled parties were organised in India and abroad, reportedly attended by celebrities, models, rappers, filmmakers and even individuals connected to underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim.

What’s the connection

According to documents examined by investigators, Siddhanth Kapoor’s name surfaced among those allegedly present at these high-profile parties. The ANC has emphasised that while names have been mentioned, being summoned for questioning does not imply guilt.

Next steps and significance

The ANC’s Ghatkopar unit will record Kapoor’s statement, after which authorities will decide whether further action — such as seeking custody or filing charges — is warranted. The probe also includes social-media influencer Orhan Awatramani (popularly known as “Orry”), who has been summoned for questioning as well.

Bottom line

As Siddhanth Kapoor prepares to respond to the ANC’s summons, the case could become a pivotal moment in how law-enforcement agencies probe celebrity-linked narcotics networks. The focus now shifts to his interaction with investigators and whether it yields further leads in the Rs 252-crore drugs case.On the work front, Shraddha Kapoor’s previous successful venture was the horror-comedy film Stree 2, which received positive reviews from audiences.
