Shatrughan Sinha once admitted CHEATING on wife Poonam

Shatrughan Sinha once admitted CHEATING on wife Poonam Sinha with Reena Roy, claimed 'The man too suffers a lot'

Bollywood has always had its share of glitz, glamour, and gossip, but few stars have been as open about their personal struggles as Shatrughan Sinha. Known for his intense roles on screen and bold personality off it, the veteran actor once peeled back the curtain on one of the most complicated chapters of his life. He admitted to being romantically involved with both his wife Poonam Sinha and his co‑star Reena Roy at the same time, revealing the guilt, confusion, and emotional turmoil he experienced.

Shatrughan Sinha admitted being involved with two women

During a past interview with Lehren Retro, the ‘Vishwanath’ actor confessed about his past relationships when the interviewer reminded him that he had once said he had his feet in two different boats.Sinha replied, “Two different boats? I would say, sometimes I was in several boats.”He went on to address his past relationships without naming anyone, “I wouldn’t take names. But, I am grateful to all the women who were part of my life. I don’t have any grudges against anybody. I never think ill of them. They have all helped me grow and become a better person.”

Shatrughan Sinha acknowledged mistakes in past relationships openly

The ‘Kala Patthar’ actor admitted that he had made mistakes in his personal life, explaining the reasons behind them, “I have definitely made mistakes in my life. It was natural for a boy, who had come all the way from Patna to get lost in the glitz and glamour of the industry. I didn’t know how to deal with stardom. People get lost in all this. I didn’t have any guardian to guide me. However, after Poonam came in my life, she helped me a lot.”Although he avoided naming Reena Roy, he expressed his gratitude towards her, “I am grateful to her. I have received lots of love from her, and have learnt a lot. I have no complaints.”

Shatrughan Sinha struggled with fame and personal confusion

The ‘Khudgarz’ actor also reflected on the mental and emotional toll his situation had on him, “When a man is good at heart, and he is having two committed relationships simultaneously, he too suffers a lot in terms of his mental and physical health. You also feel guilty. When you are out with your lover, you feel guilty for your wife at home and when you are with your wife, you feel bad for your lover: Usko khilona banake kyu rakha hai?”He further added, “I want to say, its not just the girls involved in the love triangle that are suffering, the man equally suffers. He struggles to get out of the situation even when he wants to.”

Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy’s films

Shatrughan Sinha and Reena Roy first met on the sets of their 1976 film, ‘Kalicharan’. They went on to work together in several films, including ‘Milap’, ‘Sangram’, ‘Sat Sri Akal’, and ‘Chor Ho To Aisa’. While their professional journey brought them closer, their personal paths eventually went in different directions. Go to Source
