Shah Rukh Khan: Aryan is my setup for the future

Shah Rukh Khan on son Aryan Khan's directorial venture: 'He's my setup for the future' - WATCH

Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan has always been candid about his children carving their own career paths. While his daughter Suhana Khan has ventured into acting his elder son Aryan Khan is set to make his directorial debut with ‘Bad**s Of Bollywood’. Although fans have been raving about Aryan’s good looks and dialogue delivery, the hunk has made it clear that he has no interest in stepping into the spotlight as an actor. Instead, he has been focused on building a career as a filmmaker and writer. As dad Shah Rukh revealed in a throwback video, “My son does not want to act, he wants to make films. He writes a bit, and he writes quite well. He’s learning to be a film director or writer.” The doting dad, who has been supportive of his son’s directorial dreams, went on to add, “He is my setup for the future. When no big director wants to work with me, I’ll bring my own big director.”

Aryan’s directorial debut

Aryan is gearing up for his directorial debut with the web series, which has been in development for over a year. It is rumoured to explore the glitzy yet gritty world of the Hindi film industry, marking a bold beginning for the star kid’s journey into the film industry. The star also released the first look trailer last week, which impressed all and won appreciation from fans, film industry insiders and several filmmakers. Buzz is that SRK will likely make a cameo appearance in the series, along with a host of several other B-town stars.

Suhana’s next film

Suhana, on the other hand, will be seen starring alongside dad SRK in his next movie ‘King’. The film that will also star Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji, is currently in production and is reportedly eyeing a 2026 release.
