Veteran actress Shabana Azmi mourned the loss of her college friend Satish Shah, remembering him as a jovial soul. His manager recounted Shah’s final moments, detailing his collapse during lunch. Neighbors and friends also shared fond memories of the beloved actor, who passed away at 74 due to renal failure.

A heartfelt note for a dear friend

She captioned the post, ‘This photo was taken a couple of years ago on Roopa Shaikh’s birthday. Last year, we lost her to cancer, and now #SatishShah is gone. We were in college together, and I used to keep bumping into him at common friends’ homes. Always full of beans, pulling a fast one, and a jovial soul. Gone too soon. Farouque Shaikh and he were a team… Bichde sabhi baari baari…’

Manager recalls Satish Shah’s final moments

Recalling the late star, Ramesh Kadatala, his manager shared about his last moments. In a heartbreaking confession, he remembered how the actor collapsed while having his final meal.It happened at noon, around 2 or 2:45 pm. The actor was having lunch, and all of a sudden, he collapsed. “Kal lunch karte samaye hua tha. Vo khana khaate khaate ek niwala khaye, phir collapse hua. Kuch half an hour laga ambulance laane mein…hospital jaane par declare kiya doctor ne (It happened while he was having lunch. He ate a bite and then collapsed. It took around half an hour to get the ambulance. After reaching the hospital, the doctor declared him dead),” he said while speaking to ANI.

Neighbours and friends remember the veteran actor

Further, the ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ actor’s neighbor also spoke to the agency and revealed that as soon as Ramesh called him for help, he rushed in. “Satish kaka ke liye madad chalu kiya.. hum koshish karte rahe unko sahi karne ke liye (We kept trying to help him). He was such a good person–an artist with a big heart. Jis jis ko bulaya tha vo turant chale aaye kaam chodkar ke (Everyone we called came immediately, leaving their work).”Ramesh further revealed that on June 16, Satish Shah was in surgery for a kidney transplant in Kolkata. However, he appeared fine after that, and medicine for minor infections was given. “After that, everything was normal. There was a little urinary infection, but antibiotics were started,” he revealed.Satish Shah breathed his last in Mumbai on Saturday due to renal failure at the age of 74. According to his manager, the actor collapsed while having lunch at his residence and was rushed to Hinduja Hospital but could not be revived. Go to Source
