Seth Rogen does not wish to work with James Franco ever again: ‘I have no plans to. I haven’t talked to him in a long time’

In a recent interview, Rogen weighed in on the matter and revealed that he does not wish to work with Franco, years after the sexual misconduct case that was filed against the actor 5 years ago.

Seth Rogen shared that he will not work with James Franco

While in conversation with The New York Times, Rogen revealed that while he and Franco have worked together in the past, it is not something that he ever wishes to do again anytime soon.The actor did not wish to share too many details about the sensitive topic, however, he did give a little insight into it. He shared during the interview that “I honestly think the nuance of it is too personal for me to get into right now. It is a very personal thing.” He further on added that his viewpoint on everything related to the matter remains the same as it used to be. “There’s the public-facing side of it, which I’ve spoken about, and I have the same stance publicly that I’ve had, and I think the proof is in the pudding — I have not worked with him in years. But the personal side of it is just so nuanced, and it involves people that I don’t know if I should be dragging into this,” he further quipped. Rogen concluded his statement on the matter and revealed that the two have not been in contact for the past couple of years. He added, “I haven’t worked with him in a really long time and I have no plans to. I haven’t talked to him in a long time.”

About James Franco and Seth Rogen’s friendship

The duo used to actively work together on various projects, and were even close friends for a very long time. Both of them started their career with ‘Freaks and Geeks’, which further added to their long-running bond. Over the years, they continued to work together on various projects, including ‘Pineapple Express’, ‘This Is the End’, as well as ‘Sausage Party.’They last worked together in 2017 with the film ‘The Disaster Artist.’ In 2018, after Franco wore a ‘MeToo’ pin to an award show, it prompted around 5 women to come forward and accuse him of sexual misconduct. The two of them have not worked together ever since. In 2021, when the entire case was settled, Rogen had expressed that he does not wish to work with Franco for anything.

About James Franco’s sexual misconduct allegations

James Franco wore a ‘MeToo’ pin in solidarity with the movement in Hollywood at the Golden Globe 2018 ceremony. This, however, was followed by five women coming forward and accusing him of sexual misconduct. Two of these women were his former students from his defunct acting school, and had accused him of acting inappropriately as per the lawsuit that they had filed.
