Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Aakhri Sawal’ release date pushed by a week

Originally slated to release on May 8, the film was pushed back by a week and will now arrive in theatres on May 15. With the CBFC certification finally out of the way, the makers seem all set to bring the film to audiences on the big screen.

What is Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Aakhri Sawal’ about?

The film is based on an important meeting that is said to have changed the direction of the country. It goes beyond the usual historical stories and aims to highlight themes of selfless service and bring out lesser-known facts about India’s political and social journey. It has a strong cast, with Sanjay Dutt starring alongside Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury, and Neetu Chandra. The movie is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang, who is best known for his Marathi film ‘Picasso’.

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt was recently seen in ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, one of the biggest Hindi films in recent times that went on to break several box office records. The movie featured Ranveer Singh in the lead role, with Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Saumya Tandon, and Danish Pandor also playing key roles.
