He talked about how the musician has been oppressed almost her entire life.He discussed Spears’ overall situation and added that it was unbelievable to him that “someone in America who was an advocate for women’s rights and wants freedom of speech and freedom for everybody being oppressed.”The star further added that people should respect her privacy and that he believes in the singer. “If she made a mistake, I really think she’s a strong woman and can come back from this,” he further added.

He stated during the interview, “Even though we were married for one year, we were together for seven years, so my values for her, my respect for her always stands.”At the time of the interview, he also added that he had first-hand seen all the troubles that the ‘Toxic’ singer has had to go through her entire life, and that he wishes the star the very best.
