Salman Khan was the happiest during THIS film with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan; Kumar Sanu calls him ‘the most beautiful man’

It’s been decades since Sanjay Leela Bhansali left an indelible mark on the Indian cinematic canvas with his movie ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.’ From the plot to the performance, the sets, the music, everything about the movies was simply surreal. But one element of this film that stole hearts 26 years ago and still hasn’t left the memory box of the fans is the pairing of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Back then, their real-life chemistry transitioned beautifully on the reel. Some even say Salman Khan was the happiest during ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.’ Singer Kumar Sanu, who gave vocals to the iconic song ‘Aankho Gustakhiyan’ featuring Salman and Aishwarya, agreed to the same in a recent interview.

Kumar Sanu, the magical voice behind the most classic melodies of the 90s, sang for multiple stars and movies. He also sang ‘Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan’ for Salman in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.’ Recently, in a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, he opened up about Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s onscreen pairing. When asked about his comment on Salman Khan being the happiest during the shoot of this SLB romantic drama, having the most beautiful days of his life, Kumar Sanu agreed. “Correct, correct, sahi bola (you said it right),” confessed Sanu. In the conversation, he elaborated on the jodi and described Salman as not handsome but the most beautiful man. “I mean, both of them were so beautiful. On the one hand, one person is so handsome, the most beautiful man in the world. I am saying beautiful, I won’t say handsome. I mean, he blew away the meaning of ‘handsome’ itself,” he said before adding, “On the other side was Aishwarya Rai, such a beauty. I mean, her beauty just never ends.”Further speaking on the onscreen magic they created, Sanu said, “So when both of them came together to create love, then that became a completely different thing.”
