Over the years, Salman Khan has been involved in several charitable and community welfare initiatives. Through different programmes, he has extended support to causes related to healthcare, education, child welfare and assistance for economically underprivileged sections of society.Salman Khan recently attended a special programme organised by the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) in Mumbai, where he participated in a series of initiatives aimed at supporting the authority’s rehabilitation efforts. As per ians, during the visit, the actor inaugurated the newly established Data Collection and Verification Support Centre (IT Server Room), which has been introduced to strengthen the SRA’s digital infrastructure.The upgraded facility has been designed to improve the efficiency of administrative operations while enhancing security and transparency across the authority’s digital services. The initiative is also expected to play a key role in expanding and streamlining the SRA’s e-governance framework.

Over 50 beneficiaries receive permanent home keys

One of the highlights of the event was the distribution of permanent home keys to beneficiaries under the slum rehabilitation programme. Salman Khan personally handed over the keys to more than 50 beneficiaries, marking an important milestone in their rehabilitation journey.The programme was conducted in the presence of SRA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mahendra Kalyankar, who joined the actor during the key distribution ceremony. Beneficiaries were seen celebrating the occasion as they received the keys to their new homes.Apart from inaugurating the digital support centre, Salman Khan also unveiled the SRA Coffee Table Book.During the programme, SRA officials also briefed Salman Khan about several ongoing initiatives and future development plans. The actor appreciated the efforts being made to strengthen housing opportunities for eligible beneficiaries through transparent and technology-driven governance.On the professional front, Salman Khan is preparing for the release of his upcoming film, ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’ and the hype is high for the war drama.
