‘Saiyaara’ actor Ahaan Panday signs second film; set to star in Ali Abbas Zafar’s action romance - Report

Ahaan Panday had a blockbuster debut alongside Aneet Padda in ‘Saiyaara’. This Mohit Suri-directed film shot Ahaan and Aneet as the most promising newcomers of 2025. Following their massive success, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what the young stars would do next.

Ahaan Panday reportedly signs second film

A Pinkvilla report reveals that Panday has now signed his second project with filmmaker Aditya Chopra. The untitled film will be an action romance directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who is known for blockbusters like ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

Ali Abbas Zafar was impressed with Ahaan Panday’s aura

The report states that Ali Abbas Zafar has been developing this action romance with Aditya Chopra as his next directorial. “Ali has won over the audience with brilliant dramas like Sultan, and even in an action film like Tiger Zinda Hai, he made the storytelling gripping due to the drama that he infused in the scenes. Ali wanted to go back to his roots, to the genre that has given him so much love with his next film. He was blown away seeing Ahaan Panday and his aura with emotional and dramatic scenes in Saiyaara,” mentioned the report.

Aditya Chopra suggested casting a fresh face

As per the report, Aditya Chopra recommended that Ali Abbas Zafar should cast Panday. He believed a new face would bring surprise for the audience. The report says he sees Ahaan’s “underexposure is actually his biggest advantage”, and after ‘Saiyaara’’s success, fans would be even more excited about his next step.

Filmmakers plan to showcase Ahaan’s new side

“Adi and Ali will unlock a totally different side to Ahaan’s acting in this yet untitled film by putting him into a new world where intense passion, romance and action meets hard-hitting drama,” revealed the report.

Script completed and music sessions in progress

The report further reveals that the script has already been finalised and music sittings have started. The film is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2026.
