Saba on the ‘normalcy’ in her relationship with Hrithik

Saba Azad says there's normalcy in her relationship with Hrithik Roshan, reveals how she dealt with the public attention: 'It's an assumption..'

Saba Azad and Hrithik Roshan made their relationship official in 2022. While Saba is also an actor and also has her band with Imaad Shah, suddenly, she came under public scanner more and got more attention after her relationship with Hrithik. In a recent interview, without taking Hrithik’s name, Saba was asked about how she dealt with the sudden attention and public attention that came her way. Imaad Shah was also along with Saba in this interview and they share a long friendship. They were dating but even after their break-up, they continue to remain friends with each other. Saba revealed that Imaad who has been in the public eye most of his life, also helped her when she was trying to gain perspective during that phase. Without also taking Hrithik’s name, she confessed that there’s a lot of normalcy in her relationship. She said during a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, “I have a lot of sense of normalcy around me, even within my relationship. It’s an assumption that we make that people who are in the public eye don’t lead normal lives. Everyone is just going about their life, trying to get through from one day to another.” When further she was asked, ‘scrutiny is something that Hrithik had normalised more than you’, Saba responded, “Ya, he’s been in the public eye longer than I and for a good reason. But also, I’m surrounded by friends who couldn’t give a damn about fame. There was no point at which my life was not normal. It continues to be pretty normal.” She added further, “I also find that if you are not really asking for that attention, you can slip into the cracks and lead the normal life.” When Imaad was asked about what he felt when Saba was getting that attention and how she dealt with it, he said, “The scale of attention that Saba dealt with early on was definitely something very new. She needed perspective. She needed someone to give some context to the situation. She did need someone to talk to, and she often needed perspective… Anyone would. Having somebody who has experienced that (level of fame) in smaller degrees and having a healthy remove from it is probably what she needed.”Saba added to it and revealed that Imaad’s perspective did help her. “He has been in the public eye. He has a perspective that I don’t… It was overwhelming, to say the least. I’m not used to those many eyes on me, and nor did I invite them. It really helps to have friends who get you,” she said.
