Contrary to the buzz around town, the actor, best known for playing Deadpool, clarified during an interview with Entertainment Weekly at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival that he has not begun filming for the upcoming ensemble blockbuster. Reynolds was attending the festival to promote ‘John Candy: I Like Me’, a documentary he produced. Asked whether he had slipped in any Easter eggs from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, he told EW, “There’s four that I’ve got in there. Of course, I’ve written them all at home in my PJs, and nobody’s seen ’em nor have I stepped foot on set. But, yeah, that’s about as far as I’ll go on that one.”
