Ruffalo CONDEMNS ‘man-made famine’ in Gaza

'Avengers' star Mark Ruffalo CONDEMNS 'man-made famine' in Gaza; urges World leaders to act: 'Your inaction is enabling this suffering'

Hollywood actor and activist Mark Ruffalo has spoken out strongly against what he described as a “man-made famine” in Gaza. While condemning the acts of violence towards the people, he also voiced his outrage over the humanitarian crisis.

Mark Ruffalo’s social media post goes viral

The ‘Avengers’ star, best known for playing the role of the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, took to his social media handle to say that the situation unfolding in the region, is not the result of natural causes but of “deliberate choices made by those in power.” “What we’re witnessing in Gaza is not just a tragedy, it is a crime against humanity. Forced starvation, a man-made famine — children and families wasting away while the world looks on in silence. This is not a natural disaster,” Ruffalo wrote.

Ruffalo calls world leaders to take action

The actor, known for using his platform to speak on various humanitarian and other social issues, directly appealed to politicians and other world leaders to take urgent action. In a strongly wroded post aimed at those in power, he said, “…your silence is complicity. Your inaction is enabling this suffering. We cannot stand by while an entire people are starved. Humanity demands more of us. DO SOMETHING!”Ruffalo also urged citizens across the globe to raise their voices and bring an end to this crisis. “Demand an end to this famine. Demand an end to the genocide and destruction. Demand accountability. Demand life,” he concluded.

Thanos actor Josh Brolin reacts

His post won support from fellow MCU co-star Josh Brolin, best known for playing the role of the supervillain Thanos. “Thank you, Mark” he said and added heart emoticons.

Fans react

Reacting to his post, fans took to the comments to say, “You are literally the only Avenger who is actually a superhero.””Silence IS complicity!! Say it louder. Thank you you’re one of the good ones Mark,” said another. “Thank you Mark for your continued moral clarity and for using your voice,” another added. This is not the first time Ruffalo has taken a stand on the humanitarian issues in Gaza. Early this month, he joined the #halfheartsforgaza and encouraged his celebrity friends to join the trend. “This is #halfheartsforgaza I’m tagging @rosie and @pascalispunk, @michelleobama. Thank you @msrachelforlittles for always taking care of the Littles. Over the years, he has consistently used his reach to draw attention to environmental causes, social justice movements, and global conflicts.”On the work front, the actor will be seen next in the series ‘Task’.
