Rishab Shetty’s next directorial to be mythological

Rishab Shetty’s next directorial to be mythological, fans think his ‘Randamoozham’ finally on track

Following ‘Kantara’s’ phenomenal success, Rishab Shetty has confirmed his next directorial venture will be a mythological tale. While currently focused on acting in ‘Jai Hanuman,’ Shetty is actively developing his next directorial project. This has fueled speculation that he might be involved with the long-delayed ‘Randamoozham’ adaptation, a retelling of the Mahabharata’s Bhima.

Rishab Shetty has revealed that his next film as a director will explore a mythological subject. The actor-filmmaker, who gained nationwide praise for ‘Kantara,’ recently spoke about his future plans at a media event. Although actively involved in acting projects at the moment, Rishab Shetty disclosed that he has already been brainstorming for his next directorial assignment. Though he did not reveal many details about the story, his statement has already sparked curiosity among fans eager to see what he will direct next.

Actor-director currently focused on ‘Jai Hanuman’ before returning to direction

At present, Rishab Shetty is concentrating on his acting role in the upcoming film ‘Jai Hanuman,’ directed by Prasanth Varma. Speaking about his career journey with News 18, the actor shared that he spent nearly four years deeply involved in the world of ‘Kantara.’ Because of that long creative phase, he decided to temporarily step away from directing and focus on acting commitments. However, he clarified that directing remains very important to him and that he plans to return with a mythological story once his current projects are completed.

Rumours link Rishab Shetty to the long-delayed ‘Randamoozham’

After his statement, speculation quickly started about which mythological project he might direct. One strong rumour suggests that Rishab Shetty could be associated with the much-delayed film adaptation of ‘Randamoozham.’ The famous novel written by MT Vasudevan Nair retells the story of Bhima from the ‘Mahabharata’ from a unique point of view. Earlier, reports suggested that Mohanlal might play the lead role, but the ambitious project remained on hold for many years.

Fans await clarity on the filmmaker’s next mythological project

Recently, MT Vasudevan Nair’s daughter Aswathy Nair confirmed that the film adaptation of ‘Randamoozham’ could finally move forward and that an announcement may come soon. However, she did not confirm whether Rishab Shetty would direct or star in the film. For now, the actor has only confirmed that his next directorial will be based on mythology. After the massive success of ‘Kantara,’ audiences are eagerly waiting to see what grand story he will bring to the screen next.
